CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam swimming and diving teams earned another split in a dual meet with a North Country rival. The Bears men downed St. Lawrence University 145-134, while the women fell to the Saints, 164-110.
Sophomore
Fred Mocniak won the 100 (1:07.31) and 200 breaststroke events (2:28.79) to lead the men. Junior
Alexander Taylor won the 100 freestyle (0:50.16) and was part of the winning 400 medley relay team (3:56.44) along with freshman
Dan Costa, senior
Ryan Wentz, and sophomore
Richie Zimmerman. Zimmerman also captured the 50 freestyle with a time of 0:23.45. Sophomore
Dylan Woythal swam to a win in the 200 butterfly (2:17.99)
Junior
Liz Ringer paced the women with wins in the 200 butterfly (2:19.05) and the 200 individual medley (2:22.97). Freshman
Victoria Blakeslee won the 500 freestyle (5:42.33) and was a member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:07.54) with freshman
