CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam cross country team participated in the North Country Invitational at SUNY Canton this afternoon.
The Bears trudged their way through a soggy course behind the Roos' new athletic facility along with Clarkson, St. Lawrence, Canton, and Paul Smith's. Rebecca Dukett (Tupper Lake, N.Y./Tupper Lake) paced the Potsdam women with a 5K time of 24:13, while
Shannon Garvey (Bleeker, N.Y./Hawthorne Cedar Knolls) ran a time of 25:02.
Sara Behuniak (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) and Mackenzie Lamana (Constableville, N.Y./South Lewis) rounded out the Bears' top four with times of 27:52 and 28:30, respectively.
Neil Grayson (Marion, N.Y./Marion) was the fastest of the Bears men with a 5k time of 19:14.
Vidal Garza (Evans Mills, N.Y./Plano East) followed close behind, finishing in 19:22.
Jonathan Doane (Camden, N.Y./Camden) ran an even 20:00 and
Brett Wunsch (Colonie, N.Y./Colonie) posted a time of 21:36.
Potsdam heads to the Pat Peterson Invitational at Oswego on Saturday, Sept. 10.
