CLINTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam golf team wrapped up its 2011 season with a 13th place finish at the Hamilton Fall Invitational. Manhattanville College won the competition with a team score of 605, while the Bears recorded a 654 mark.

Senior Shane Laurie paced Potsdam, tying for 22nd place with rounds of 75 and 81 for a total of 155. Senior Lee Shippee was next for the Bears with a 165 (76, 80) and freshman Matt Supernault was a stroke behind with a 166 (87, 79). Junior Shawn Thomas shot rounds of 85 and 84 for a 169 and junior Andrew Holmes finished with a 177 (86, 91).

The Bears best finish of the season was second place at the Oswego Tournament on Sept. 19. Potsdam also finished third as the hosts of the Bears Fall Invitational on Sept. 6.
